CONFIGURATION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE
V.W. Rod Extensometer is used to measure displacement of the surrounding ground, strain of a slope, and horizontal/vertical displacement of soils and rock bases in a tunnel which are caused by concentrating on excavation working at underground such as a tunnel, a communication duct, and a common utility duct.
Once displacement happens due to movements, relaxation, and joints of rock bases, it is delivered to a rod by an anchor and measured by a displacement sensor.
PURPOSE
V.W. Rod Extensometer is used to measure displacement of the surrounding ground, strain of a slope, and horizontal/vertical displacement of soils and rock bases in a tunnel which are caused by concentrating on excavation working at underground such as a tunnel, a communication duct, and a common utility duct.
For measuring radial displacement by each depth of surrounding ground in tunnel cutting surface, check the range of ground relaxation area from the result of underground displacement gage.

HOW TO INSTALL
Right after tunnel digging, drill with planned depth of 30~40mm size at installation point.
After checking installation depth, insert underground displacement gage and conduct mortar or resin filling.
after protective working on measuring cable, attach the sign to measuring cable by each quantity and installation depth.
